Training and Capacity Building
We believe in continually investing in and promoting training as we see it as essential for the future of heritage conservation. We provide a range of bespoke training courses including field schools, project and area specific capacity building and programmes of workplace-based learning and upskilling.
Project specific capacity building
We understand the best way to deliver the skills required to record and protect heritage is through practical training delivered through hands on experience. We have a proven track record of delivering skills and training to heritage professionals working for government and museum authorities and devising specific training programs to meet local needs. We also have experience in engaging with a range of stakeholders, for example teaching during community excavations.
Field schools for undergraduate and post-graduate students
We have set up and run a range of international field schools combining high-quality research excavation with training for undergraduate and post-graduate students.. These include field schools in Greece (University College Dublin / UC Santa Barbara), Turkey (Stamford University), Qatar (UCL-Qatar) and in the UK (University of York).
